Hello and welcome. We are Bradford Bushido Ryu Shotokan Karate Club.
Bradford Bushido Ryu, Shotokan Karate Club is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Donald Flood is the Chief Instructor and we teach traditional Shotokan karate.
Donald and a friend, Alan Guest who unfortunately does not train with us any longer,
opened the club in June 1985. On that first night there were 4 of us, Donald, Alan, myself
and a green belt called Mark. The club has gone a long way since those early days.
Donald has over 25 years experience and has trained with many excellent Karateka
including Andy Harris 6th Dan who trains Ossett Karate Club near Wakefield.
Our club has up to 40 members at any one time and several have gone on to represent
their country in both Kata and Kumite. We are often asked to do demonstrations at
local events and are more than willing to give our services.
In the past we have done them for Childline, Scope, Crimebusters
and many local schools and galas.

Gradings - Regular assessments in the form of gradings (from beginner up to 3rd dan) take
place on average every 3 months. These give the members a chance to
